Unlocking Globe Tattoo USB Modem

The 3g usb modem which are usually sold in prepaid accounts are sim locked to telco network giants – Globe, Smart and Sun Cell. To be able to use other network sim cards in your usb modem you need to unlock your 3g usb modem. Unlocking can be done by either flashing the firmware or via IMEI unlock codes.

As of this post, there is no possible solution yet on how to unlock the new Globe Tattoo – Huawei E1552 with firmware version 11.608.13.10.158 which are sold in red boxes. I have tried flashing the globe usb modem with a modified firmware however, i failed to unlock it. Also, the counter to enter the unlock code via IMEI is already set to 0 (zero) so there is no way to use the v4mpire_unlocker with this Globe Tattoo usb modem. DC Unlocker confirmed that maybe only through patch the modem will be unlock but as of now they don’t support patch unlock.

I guess they have won the battle to deprive us from using other networks with this firmware version but surely there will always be a work around and would be available soon.
